Our Mission

"One Team, One Dream"

The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is a national professional organization designed to help aerospace professionals and their organizations succeed. In 2013, the Student Branch of AIAA at the University of California, Merced was established. Since then, our members have grown exponentially, fueled by innovative ideas, ambitious energy, and a humble heart. We work on critical projects aimed at providing a well-rounded experience that challenges our members who come from all backgrounds and education. At UC Merced, it is our mission to prepare our members to reach their fullest potential and help launch the next journey of their amazing life.

Community Involvement

Not only do we focus on our members' development, but we take our servant leadership into our local community. We work with several organizations both on and off-campus to plan events, and facilitate STEM activities for K-8 students. With the organization motto of "One Team, One Dream", we realize how important it is to teach what we know, as well as, how jumping starting a child's interest in STEM can shape their life. Our main involvement includes leading STEM activities with students at local elementary schools, and our local Girl Scout troop. Showcasing our fascination of science and engineering is our tool, and we plan on continuing our involvement with future engineers and scientists.
