UAV is exploring scientific research in various areas of aviation with the intent of being able to publish useful and applicable research papers in the field. With this, there would be a large emphasis on the documentation of the construction/conditions of performance tests, computational analysis of all components and systems, and the specific parameters that must be met. This specific project would be in development for the next 3 years, and will be expanded on with any additional mission profiles or requirements.
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Research
Our Mission
In this project, UAV has taken inspiration from the structure of Project Turbine, given their success in establishing clear goals and leadership within the project. As such, UAV will be broken up into three separate teams: Mechanical Design, Electrical Systems, and Software Systems. By taking advantage of this team structure and with the intent of exploring areas of aviation, Project UAV will help students gain skills and knowledge in scientific research and publication, notably being an unexplored area within AIAA. This will greatly aid students in their preparation for Graduate studies in any field, while also, possibly, being published in this research.
